IRS Misses XP Deadline, Pays Microsoft for Custom Support

The Internal Revenue Service in the United States has missed the all-important deadline for upgrading from XP to a later operating system. Microsoft are providing custom support to make sure the tax collector of the worlds biggest economy stays functioning. Some sources are valuing this support in the millions, others claiming just $500.000.
